Connecting Your Equipment

After adding or skipping the online car linking part, the app will prompt you to connect your home charger.

Note: While you can link both a compatible vehicle and a home charger to ev.energy, it is not required

You only need one connected device to participate and earn incentives.

Additionally, connecting a home charger to ev.energy never requires a subscription fee.

Important: Platform Limitations for Charger Enrollments

Please be aware of the following requirements regarding home chargers:

  1. One Charger Per Account: You can only connect one charger per ev.energy account. If you have two home chargers and want both to earn incentives, you must submit two separate applications and register two distinct ev.energy accounts.

  2. Dual-Charger Setup (Same Brand): If you own two chargers of the same brand, they must be managed under separate manufacturer accounts as well. Our onboarding process does not currently allow you to select a specific unit if multiple chargers are linked to a single brand login.

  3. Dual-Charger Setup (Different Brands): If your two chargers are from different manufacturers, you simply need to complete two separate applications and ev.energy registrations to track them both.

Connect your compatible charger

You can proceed to connect your home charger to ensure your data is captured for incentives.

Recording  Your Charging Sessions

To keep your account active, our system always requires a "placeholder" EV. Please do not delete your vehicle unless you have sold it or wish to leave the program entirely. Replace it with the new car details as soon aspossible.

Switching to Charger-Only Mode?

If you want to disconnect your online EV but stay in the program using your home charger, we’re here to help!

Please contact our support team at eversource-ma@ev.energy.

We will help you convert your "online" vehicle to an "offline" version so your charging sessions continue to track correctly.
