If you have already downloaded the ev.energy app and created an account, but you are still receiving "Nudge" emails from Resource Innovations, it usually means your account is not yet linked to the Eversource Managed Charging Program.
The Solution: Use Your Unique Enrollment Link
To participate in the program and earn your monthly incentives, it is imperative that you create your account using the unique link sent to you in your welcome email from Resource Innovations.
The Problem: If you simply download the ev.energy app from the App Store and sign up manually, your account will lack the necessary "Program ID" to flag you as an Eversource participant.
The Result: You will appear as a "Standard" user rather than a "Managed Charging" participant, and your data won't be sent for payment processing.
How to Tell if Your Account is Set Up Incorrectly
A quick way to check your status is to look at the tabs in your app:
Check for the "Rewards" Tab: * Managed Charging Accounts: You will not see a "Rewards" or "Incentives" tab. This is because your payments are processed externally by Resource Innovations and sent via check.
Standard Accounts: If you see a "Rewards" tab where you can earn points for vouchers, you are likely in the "Standard" app version and not enrolled in Managed Charging.
Check Your Participation Status: If you see the Rewards tab, please contact us immediately at eversource-ma@ev.energy. Our support team will need to manually adjust your account to ensure you are listed as a Managed Charging participant.
FAQ: Enrollment & Incentives
What if I’ve been charging on the "Standard" app? Will I lose my past incentives? No. We have you covered. Even if your account was set up incorrectly at first, ev.energy still captures your charging data. Once we move your account into the Managed Charging group, we can review your history and qualify any past sessions that met the program rules.
Why doesn't ev.energy show my $10 reward? While ev.energy provides the data, we do not process the actual payments. Your monthly incentives are handled by the Resource Innovations Team and are sent to you directly.
Important: Please flag any setup issues as soon as possible. While we can backdate your data, reporting issues early ensures your incentive payments are not delayed.
