Unlike basic charging apps that require you to guess the best times to charge, our Advanced Tier uses intelligent automation to handle the heavy lifting for you.
Why Automation Beats Manual Scheduling
The goal of the Managed Charging program is to protect the Eversource grid while ensuring your car is ready when you need it.
By using Smart Mode instead of a traditional scheduler, we provide:
Grid Stability: We stagger charging across off-peak hours to prevent grid overload.
Optimal Forecasting: Our system uses real-time data to identify the cleanest and most efficient windows to draw power.
Guaranteed Readiness: You don't have to calculate how many hours you need. Just tell us when you’re leaving, and we’ll ensure the car is ready.
How to Use Smart Mode
Instead of setting a "Start Time," you simply set a "Ready By" Time (e.g., 7:00 AM). Once you plug in, ev.energy takes over.
It may pause your charge initially and resume it later in the night when demand is lowest.
This automated approach ensures you stay compliant with program rules and earn your monthly incentives without ever having to adjust a manual clock again.
